The Dogtooth Stage

If you go down to the Dogtooth Stage on Sunday, June 10, you might be in for a big surprise.
For tucked away dead centre of the pack are a classic rock band with a big sound, ass-kicking meaty riffs and infectious songs which should propel the boys up the bill in future years.
Since joining their musical forces last year, Wayward Sons have already opened up for Steel Panther and Inglorious and they have already wrapped up and released a stonking full length debut album which has been regularly spinning on the decks here at New Rock Times HQ.
Nods for Best New Band, Best British Album and Best British Single at the Planet Rock awards were just rewards for a band aiming big but surely destined for bigger things.
Fronted by Toby Jepson, well known from Little Angels and Gun, the band are a band who know the ropes of the music industry, are aware of the pitfalls and most importantly they know how to right an ass-kicking good rock song.
“I feel I have unfinished business, stories still left to tell, points to make, noise to create, all of the above. Besides, it wasn’t a choice, more of a need,” says Jepson on forming Wayward Sons.
“My intention is very simple. I want to sing about what makes me tick, about what I believe in. Hopefully you will believe in it too.”
Catch Wayward Sons on the Dogtooth Stage at next month's Download Festival.
