An Aerosmith farewell tour is a possibility concedes Joe Perry but he insists it is far from a guarantee.
Last week Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler hinted the band were looking to embark on a career ending farewell tour in 2017 but Perry says the issue has always been in their minds but never confirmed.
“A farewell tour is something we've talked about doing for years, let's say roughly in the last five years," Perry tells Rolling Stone.
"It's just something the band's talked about at various times. At this point, the five of us have never sat down and said, 'It's time to do it.' So 'considering' is an appropriate word for that statement. A farewell tour is definitely not confirmed."
The two band mates have been at loggerheads in recent months as the band take a break with Perry taking a swipe at Tyler’s solo work saying: “He's got a fucking rhinestone cowboy hat going, 'Yippee ki yay.' I don't know what else to say about that."
